Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic income doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post 2025 nsfas application any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
